Our Story
Legacy. Weaving. Luxury.
The Heritage Foundation
Preserving the Sacred Weave of the South.
MODA Mindanaw was founded in the heart of Davao, born from an urgent desire to protect the rapidly vanishing textile traditions of Mindanao. We believe that a garment is more than fabric—it is a vessel for ancestral knowledge, a map of historical migration, and a symbol of cultural resilience. By collaborating directly with Dreamweavers from Lake Sebu and master weavers from Maguindanao, we integrate ancient T’nalak and Inaul techniques into modern, high-fashion silhouettes. Our approach is defined by “Radical Traceability”—ensuring every artisan is honored, compensated fairly, and celebrated as a master of their craft.

Built on Three Pillars
Uncompromising Craft
We reject mass production. Each piece is a slow- fashion masterpiece that honors the hours of labor behind every thread.
Cultural Stewardship
We serve as a platform for the unheard voices of the South, documenting stories that are as intricate as the patterns we wear.
Evolved Luxury
We redefine elegance by fusing heritage with avant-garde design, creating pieces for the world’s most discerning wardrobes.
Diwa Magpayo
Founder & Artistic Director
“MODA Mindanaw is not just a brand; it is a movement. I wanted to create a world where our children see their heritage not as artifacts in a museum, but as the pinnacle of global luxury. We are proving that our weaving traditions belong on the grandest stages—worn with pride, power, and unapologetic grace.”
Diwa has spent the last decade working alongside indigenous communities to bridge the gap between traditional craft and contemporary commerce. Her vision has earned MODA Mindanaw international acclaim for its commitment to cultural integrity and architectural design.
